Shipping Policy

At Gift2U, we understand that timely and reliable delivery is an essential part of the gifting experience. This Shipping Policy outlines how we process, ship, and deliver orders placed through our website.

This policy applies to all products purchased through www.gift2u.com.au.

Shipping Locations

Australia

Gift2U currently delivers Australia-wide, including metropolitan, regional, and most remote areas.

At this time, we do not ship internationally.

Order Processing Times

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).

Processing begins once payment is confirmed and inventory is verified.

During peak periods (such as Christmas, major sales, or promotional events), processing times may be extended.

Pre-order, custom, or limited-availability products may have extended processing times as stated on the product page.

Shipping Methods and Delivery Times

We partner with reliable courier services, including Australia Post, to deliver your order safely.

Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and are estimates only, based on the delivery address and shipping method selected. Delivery times may vary due to factors outside our control, including courier delays, weather events, or peak delivery periods.

  • Remote or rural locations may require additional delivery time
  • Delivery timeframes are not guaranteed

Free Local Delivery (2800 NSW)

Gift2U offers free local delivery to addresses within postcode 2800, New South Wales.

Same business day local delivery may be available, subject to availability and order volume. Same-day delivery is not guaranteed. To check availability prior to placing your order, please contact us via phone or email.

If same-day delivery is not available, you may advise your preferred delivery date and approximate time. Please note that delivery availability is limited, and we may already be fully booked for your requested time. In such cases, we will ask you to provide an alternative delivery time or date.

Delivery Hours

Deliveries are generally made Monday to Friday during business hours (9am–5pm).

Some residential deliveries may occur outside these hours or on weekends, depending on the courier.

We do not guarantee delivery on weekends or public holidays.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Delivery address
  • Shipping method selected
  • Number of hampers ordered

Each hamper is shipped as an individual parcel. If your order contains multiple hampers, shipping fees apply per hamper, even when sent to the same address.

Authority to Leave

By placing an order with Gift2U, you acknowledge and agree that Authority to Leave (ATL) may be applied where permitted by the courier.

If no one is available to receive the delivery, the courier may leave the parcel in a safe place at the delivery address, as determined by the courier.

Once a parcel has been marked as successfully delivered, Gift2U is not responsible for loss or theft of the order.

If the courier determines that it is unsafe to leave the parcel, it may be taken to a local post office or depot for collection.

Address Accuracy

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all delivery details provided at checkout are complete and accurate, including:

  • Full recipient name
  • Correct delivery address
  • Postcode
  • Contact phone number

Gift2U is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, or additional fees resulting from incorrect or incomplete address details.

Orders successfully delivered to an address provided at checkout are not eligible for refund or replacement.

Address Changes

Address changes must be requested immediately after placing an order.

Once an order has entered processing or has been dispatched, address changes may not be possible.

PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers

Delivery to PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers is available only when supported by the selected shipping method.

Some delivery services are not available to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers.

Tracking Information

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details.

  • Tracking updates may take 24–48 hours to activate
  • Tracking visibility may be limited for some regional or remote deliveries

It is the customer’s responsibility to monitor tracking information and notify the recipient where appropriate.

Missed, Lost or Delayed Deliveries

If your tracking shows no movement for five (5) or more business days, please contact us so we can investigate with the courier.

Gift2U is not liable for delays caused by third-party couriers once the order has been dispatched.

Damaged Items

All hampers are packaged securely to minimise the risk of damage in transit.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photos of the outer packaging and damaged item(s).

We will assess the issue and determine an appropriate resolution in line with our Return and Refund Policy.

Special Delivery Locations

We do not recommend sending hampers directly to hospitals, schools, hotels, or similar institutions, as delivery success cannot be guaranteed.

If you choose to deliver to these locations, it is your responsibility to confirm delivery acceptance with the location. Redelivery or return fees may apply if delivery is unsuccessful.

Successfully delivered orders to these locations are not eligible for refund or compensation.

Peak Periods and Unforeseen Events

During peak periods or events beyond our control, including weather disruptions or courier delays, delivery times may be extended.

Gift2U is not liable for delays caused by such circumstances.
