Return and Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Gift2U, customer satisfaction is important to us. This Return and Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which returns, exchanges, and refunds may be accepted for purchases made through our website. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms set out below.

2. How to Start a Return or Refund Request

To request a return, exchange, or refund, please contact us at hello@gift2u.com.au within the applicable timeframes outlined in this policy. Your request must include:

  • Order number
  • Item(s) to be returned or exchanged
  • Reason for the request
  • Clear photos, where applicable (particularly for damaged or faulty items)

Do not return any items until you have received written return authorisation and instructions from Gift2U.

3. Return Timeframes

Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items

You must notify us within 7 days of receiving your order if an item is:

  • Out of date
  • Broken
  • Damaged
  • Faulty
  • Not as described

Items reported outside this timeframe may not be eligible for return or replacement.

Unshipped Orders

A refund request may be made for an order that has not yet shipped, up to a maximum of 30 days from the order date. No refunds will be issued after this period.

4. Eligibility Conditions for Returns

To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must:

  • Be unused, unworn, and unwashed
  • Be in original condition
  • Include all original tags and packaging
  • Be accompanied by proof of purchase

Returns that do not meet these conditions may be declined.

Gift2U does not offer refunds for gifts that have been successfully delivered to the recipient without damage.

5. Change of Mind

Gift2U does not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases once an item has been shipped and delivered.

If an item is out of date, broken, or damaged, please contact us on 0478 717 697 or hello@gift2u.com.au, and we will arrange a replacement where applicable.

Exchanges may be considered once the original item has been returned to our warehouse in its original, unopened condition. Any additional costs (including price differences or delivery fees) must be paid prior to dispatch of the replacement item.

Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is deemed faulty.

6. Returns Due to Incorrect Delivery Address

If an incorrect delivery address is provided and the gift is returned to us, the following options apply:

Re-delivery

  • A new shipping fee will apply
  • A re-packing fee of $9.95 will be charged

Refund

Refunds will be issued for the value of the hamper less:

  • Original shipping costs
  • Any items that cannot be reused (e.g. perishable goods such as fruit or fresh cheese)

Items consisting solely of perishable goods are not eligible for refund.

7. Faulty Products

If a product is faulty, not of acceptable quality, not fit for purpose, or does not match its description, please contact us at hello@gift2u.com.au.

In accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), Gift2U may offer a replacement, credit note, or refund at its discretion.

Return postage costs are initially borne by the customer. If the item is confirmed as faulty, Gift2U will reimburse the return postage cost.

Customers are responsible for ensuring returned items are sent using a trackable delivery method. Gift2U is not liable for items lost or damaged in transit. Confirmation will be provided once the return is received.

8. Refund Assessment and Processing

Refunds are processed only after the returned item has been received and inspected.

  • Inspection: 1–2 business days after receipt
  • Approval notification: via email
  • Refund issued: within 5 business days of approval
  • Bank processing: 2–7 business days (payment provider dependent)

If more than 15 business days have passed since refund approval, please contact us.

9. Partial Refunds or Return Denials

Items returned in used condition, damaged condition, or without original packaging or tags may not be eligible for a refund. In such cases, Gift2U may return the item to you without issuing a refund. This decision will be communicated via email.

10. Refund Method

All refunds are processed to the original payment method used at checkout. Refunds cannot be issued to alternative accounts, prepaid cards, or in cash.

11. Lost or Damaged Deliveries

If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please notify us within 7 days of delivery or the estimated delivery date. Once verified with the carrier, we will offer either a replacement or a refund.
